cerclage
Jun 29, 2007 6:29 PM
It is just after 5:00 A.M. right now. I have slept terrible all night. I have had a lot of very strange dreams. This morning in about and hour I have to be at the hospital to get my cerclage placed. No wonder I can't sleep!!
Yesterday I had my pre-op appointment and an ultrasound. I took the whole family to see the baby. The kids were really excited to hear the baby's heartbeat. And Nathan, my two year old, was really excited to see mommy getting her blood pressure taken(bwood pwresser).
The baby looked so cute and tiny. I have already had four children, but seeing this one still amazed me. I could see it's arms and legs moving all around. I saw it's face. The baby is no bigger than three inches right now, but formed so perfectly!
I am one week farther than my origional due date. I am very excited that the due date in now a week earlier. I am actually just over twelve weeks, not eleven. The doctor is talking about the possability of having the baby a few weeks early, for insurance reasons and becuase my labors happen so fast I am afraid I might not make it to the hospital. With my last baby he came in 1 hour and twenty minutes. The doctor was yelling down the hall for some help because he was coming so fast. When Nate was born we were all suprised because out lumbered a huge 9 lb. 2 oz. giant of a baby. I would be grateful(if the baby is ready) to have it a few weeks early to avoid having another one so large and to avoid getting carpel tunnel like last time.
At my ultrasoudn I also foud out that my cervix is already starting to funnel at just 12 weeks. this didn't happen with the last two pregnancys. The cerclages were placed as a percausion...well this one is deffinately needed. The doctor said if I didn't get it my option would be bedrest (uggg..I have done that way too many times!).
On a good note, we weighed all the kids in the doctoers officwe and Josh is growing!!!! He now weighes about 28 pounds!!! He will be six in a month, but that is really so much for him.
well, I have so much more to write, but I need to get going. after my recovery I will write more about how everything goes.
